What happend to this movie?

This is the trailer of a movie that never has been realesed like this... But in a different way, with different actors, particularly Camilla Rutherford instead of the girl (unknown... at least by me) who we can see in this trailer and seems to be playing the role of Danai. Does anyone knows why and/or what happened?

I wish I had a copy of this "making of" without having to purchase the DVD... Anyway Counting Camilla Rutherford who plays Danai in the finally realesed movie, that is obviously on the DVD, and the girl in the lost movie trailer that I posted here, all that makes a minimun of two actress playing Danai. I need to confess that 'm lost in such a mess and this makes me really wondering. Nevertheless this lost trailer shows at it's beginning the original Danai they just added music.

Well, on the original "The Freediver" DVD, there is a "making of" video. These does include a scene with the "original" Danai Varveri. That's certainly a different girl then in this fragment.

It was pure luck, a lot of luck. A few years back, I learned that a movie talking about Danai's life was in preparation. So I kept watch over all the websites and forums I could, plus the BIOS website. One day I finally could download this trailer Either from the BIOS website Or a related

website, can't recall, sorry. Fortunately I kept and still have a copy of it. One day I decided to post it here to ask info about it. All info is welcomed. Further info is welcome in advance if any. Thanks.

First off, I apologize for my very late thanks for your reply... But, as very few people come to comment here, I don't check my account very often... Anyway you said something interesting: this looks to be a try-out... But never released. The content of the BIOS site is now different. But Wikipedia provides an extenal link to an archived article similar to the scubaman{dot}com website... Thank you again for your reply it's a very interesting info.

Well, first of all, we don't know much of Danai Varveri. There are no intervieuws, reports or whatsever about her directly. The oldest entry I could found on her was an blog article from 2000. Here BIOS was already mentioned, an initiative founded by Alki David. The same Alki David who produced the Freediver.

This fragment is obviously a early try-out of The Freediver. It seems to be narated by Alki himself, and it shows several fragments of the movie.

And as for me, I do NOT want to say something really stupid too...

But if you look at the trailer closely: in first yes it IS the original Danai documentary. But after, when the recording information displayed in the lower-left corner disappear, something else begins which looks like a trailer I think, and I dunno who is this girl who is neither Camilla Rutherford nor Danai, that's why I ask if anyone has SERIOUS information.

Yeah I know that, and in THE FREEDIVER Danai is played by Camilla Rutherford, but at my klowledge, and if you look closely at this trailer the girl who is supposed to play the role of Danai In NOT Camilla Rutherford! Once again (see comments): what happened? The question remains...
