Frasier Speech

Frasier's speech at the end of the last episode.

I've been thinking about that poem a lot lately. And I think what it says is that, while it's tempting to play it safe, the more we're willing to risk, the more alive we are. In the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took. And I hope that explains at least little this journey on which I'm about to embark. I have loved every minute with my KACL family, and all of you. For eleven years you've heard me say, "I'm listening." Well, you were listening too. And for that I am eternally grateful. Goodnight, Seattle.

When we studied this poem, I quoted Fraiser in our seminar, and the worst thing was - no one realised what I was quoting!

I didn't see the last few seasons, so I don't know even know what he's referring to, yet Kelsey Grammar's performance here is STILL so moving and earnest. My eyes are misty even though I don't know what the journey is that he is talking about.

PS: Don't write to me and tell me what it is. Someday, I'll find out on my own.

My all time favourite comedy. Every series was good but they just got better and better. Never used to like it years back but started watching it 2 years back and bought the complete series. Have watched them all a few times. Its so much better than a lot of the new rubbish. Brilliant ending too. Always brings a lump to my throat, very sad.

wow. I've seen this at the beginning of the year. And that poem with the whole scene touched me so deeply. To be honest. After seeing every episode I nearly forgot Frasier this year. But I never forgot this speech. 'cuz it's so true and really talling about life.
