yeah i know about the dimensioned lumber thing.....it just pisses me off that they do that , its like false advertisement you know...... yes you are right about the scraper, its my baby...i call it a bull nose scraper, if you were to look at it from the side with the blade pointing left... you would see that the nose of it drops down almost like how a spoon does.. then comes to a sudden stop with about a 5 degree bevel on it...ill show it and talk about it in the other chopstick video.. thanks

Hey Chad, What chisel did you started drawing out the bottom with? It looked like a scraper of some kind but also kind of like a gouge. The other, I assume, was a spear point scraper with a modified angle on the point, right? FYI, the lumber you bought is called dimensioned lumber. The 1 X 10 or 2 X 4 denotes the rough stock size. It always ends up 1/4" to 1/2" smaller after machining, so a 1 X 10 ends up roughly a 3/4" X 9-1/2" when it's sold at the lumber store.

Nice plate, though.
