Dan Partland, executive producer of Intervention, A&E's award-winning non-fiction series about addiction, explains in detail how the show is written and why it's covered by the Writers Guild.
Many of my friends in the reality community write host copy, interview questions/desired responses, and execute other writing duties at all phases of pre-pro, production and post.
Quite a treat to see how INTERVENTION comes together, Dan. It's easily one of the best shows the genre has to offer.
this is a great show this is like the only show that i might tear up in on nearly every episode

of course reality shows have writers, and of course they should be covered under the current wga contract
especially since it seems that more and more shows will be "reality" based
