Steve Brown, All-Ireland Bones Champion and Raymond Henry on the Irish Traditional Flute. This was the opening concert at the Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo Comhaltas music festival. Flute and Bones is unique combination in Irish Music. One of the things that makes this vidoe interesting to Irish people is that Steve Brown plays bones with both hands not just one hand as is common in Ireland. We play two sets here. The first one is a set of reels called the Maid Behind the Bar and Kilmaley. Steve Brown gives a short history of bone playing around the world and Raymond Henry launches into a couple of Jigs called The Battering Ram and Gallaghers Frolics. Hope you enjoy this flute and bones performance.
