  • This sissy guy committed a crime and then tried to find excuses. Such a cheap character! It is good to bear in mind that some Taiwanese are descendents of gangsters, hooligans and prostitutes who fled to Taiwan from the Chinese mainland around 1949.

  • @chenlaifa Did Mao Zedong simplified Chinese for the foreigners too? Or was he trying to insult the intelligence of both Chinese and non-Chinese alike? I didn't know Mandarin was the world's most difficult language, but I do know Mandarin is the world's most inauthentic Han language.

  • Sorry, 'qualms' in my earlier message should read 'no qualms'. Btw, since you're so young and, at this age, are prone to being emotional and undiscerning, I'll end my discussion with you here. I'm almost your grandfather's age; it is therefore not fair for me to challenge you on any matter. I wish you well and hope you'll grow up and help make a better world. Mao Zedong did that by approving the use of Hanyu pinyin so that foreigners could learn the world's most difficult language, Mandarin.Bye

  • Besides Chen, many DPP leaders had also been to the mainland like Xie Chang Ting, Annette Lu, Chen Ju etc. Cai Ying Wen's brother-in-law has big business in the mainland. The problem with the DPP is that the leaders are too preoccupied with winning elections. They can make 360 degrees' turn if necessary and have qualms about credibility. Nevertheless, I still like DPP because it is more probable to forge reunification with the mainland than that old, decayed, stubborn KMT. See Part 3

  • @raininthesouth : I am very poorly educated, and since you have so many highly qualified experts in your family, why don't you take a DNA test to see if you are a Han Chinese. By the way, Chen Shui Bian was once very proud to be a Chinese and he had hosted a programme for that. His law practice is called Hua Xia and his son's name carries the wish to devote to China. He went to the mainland to pay respect to his ancestral tomb but unfortunately identified the wrong one. See Part 2

  • @chenlaifa I find it laughable that Chinese get the idea that DPP Taiwanese are "irrational", "uneducated", "violent" from watching KMT-controlled media. What's the reality? Reality is many of DPP's staunchest supporters are actually people like my family. I am a graduating medical student in U.S., My older brother is a M.D./Ph.D. from Harvard. My uncle is a radiation oncologist. We are all supporters of DPP. Pardon me for asking but what is your educational level? Care to disclose?

  • @chenlaifa I asked you a question and you are clearly avoiding it, for reasons we both know. Now is it true the Qing government imposed a policy of isolationism and containment against Taiwan for over 200 years? Was there a policy of “赴台者不許携眷。琅以惠、潮之民多通海,特禁往来。” (連雅堂《台灣通史》)? The outcome of this policy was there were very few Han women on Taiwan island for over 200 years. Isn't that right? So where does the "You are all Hans" come from? Answer this question. Go ahead.
