Jerzy walks through his technique of lettering comics using Adobe Illustrator. This tutorial covers the designing of word balloons and dialogue. Later video podcasts will demonstrate special word balloons, thought balloons, caption boxes, sound effects, and finally exporting to Photoshop.

  • Ames lettering tool is where you learn lettering spacing. Important to learn that first.

  • @ideatalento delete the artwork and save the lettering as an .ai file on a blank page - this allows whoever is doing the prepress work in QuarkXpress or InDesign to layer the lettering on top of the artwork file.

  • As what should I save the document after lettering?
