The Goldfish original came from China. One of my first breeds were ranchus, but there are several different breeds. The "goldfish" that live in the wild are Koi, and are the most hardy of the lot, not needing much special attention, similar to the Comets, or basics, but completely different from the "Fancy" such as the bubble eye with sacs of liquid that can easily be punctured under each eye, and the Black Moor (Telescope if not black) are very sight impaired.
