A collection of songs and visual gags based on book titles.
Originally rleased in 1938, this film features many snippets of songs from the Warner Brothers music publishing division, which was a requirement of the Merrie Melodies cartoons at that time (Looney Tunes cartoons of the same era did not have this rule but were often made in black and white as well).
According to Wikipedia, it was re-issued in 1947 as a "Blue Ribbon Merrie Melodies" with some edits made, all of which have now been restored excepting for the original title cards. No onscreen credits are given for writer, director, singers, etc.
This film is in the public domain. It was originally released by Warner Brothers.
The video used for this upload was taken from the DVD set "Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2"
Old King Cole was a merry old soul, and a merry old soul was he. He called for his pipe, he called for his bowl - we all know about old King Cole!

Okay, but I thought angels would look like Hebrews/Israelites/Jews. I'm not racist, I'm a European, I'm Full blood Norwegian.

This is still one of my favorite LT to this day! Love that Leroux's Phantom makes an appearance.
