back when you could go to the movies and watch a quality film for like a dollar instead of paying over 20 bucks (like 6 dollar popcorn) to see some horrible film

I wish I could go back to the 50's for one week, I would see a movie (picture show), go to the high school football game, buy a whole new wardrobe, and find a "smitten" guy to take to the county fair!
I watch a lot of musicals and think everything back then looked and sounded cooler than this corrupt world today :(
