SEGA SATURN. VDP2 Showcase Part 2

Here is the 2nd video in a selection of games which I feel made/make great use if the Saturn VDP2 processor, and show it off to the best of its abilities. This time I really liked how Technosoft used the VDP2 to handle more transparencies effects than in the PS2, and the simply amazing floor effect found in the Factory (3rd stage level) , which completely kills the PS version. Darius Gadien features just the most insane (at the same time beautiful) swirling backrounds , then the VDP2 could be used just to handle the floors or the backrounds like seen in Decathlete (which in view , looks like a Model 2 game) or GH

Please I don't want any clever ass comments (especial from American teenagers) about sucking at games or attack patters ECT. My videos are all about showing off SEGA games or Systems, not my gameplay skills (or lack of).

Part 3 will be set to feature games like Saga , NiGHTS, Street Racer and some RSG footage, maybe put in Burning Rangers too . Please look forward to it

Is the first game Darius Gadien? It looks amazing I like the graphics it looks really well made. It even looks like a GameCube or original Xbox game at times freaking awesome.

@andersdenkend Agreed! A video of games which run in Saturn's high-rez graphics mode would be terrific. I'm always stunned when those games are playing on my 36" tv. I really enjoyed this series, and hope you'll make more. The Saturn library has so many good games, it's almost limitless.

Nice videos! Now that you record 720p HD material, you could record all the Saturn games, which run in highres mode next. Like Decathlete, Last Bronx, Magic Carpet, etc. :D
