Cool video...during your pattern your balancing on your horses mouth...when you pivoted slow down and do it right...it looks better to go slow and right than fast and wrong...along with your rail work...give your horse rein he/she wants to drop it's head but your not allowing him/her to, loosen up your reins and balance with out your horses mouth and you two will be a unstopable combination

Thanks for the comments! This is my client and this was about the 4th time she ever competed in Horsemanship. I try to post as many of her goes so that she can learn from watching - the camera never lies!!!! So, yes, I agree with your comments & both she and the horse have progressed leaps and bounds from when this video was taken.

i definatley agree but would also say that the legs had more movement then i would have liked. but overall very nice horse and a great rider

Ya you do see a lot of riders using the horses mouth to balance on and until they can see what they look like most dont realize it. I use to be one that didn't when i was younger but now it's amazing what a different horse you have when you dont balance on their mouth...i rode a friends horse she was having problems...he would throw a fit...and i gave him all the rein he wanted...we won the class and she then realized what she was doing and how more enjoyable he was to ride after that
