You can read everywhere, where you can read printed paper too.
The books are sold in the internet, you have to look after "ebooks". The readable formats are epub, txt, pdf, doc and some more.
For reading in thre dark you need a lamp, the same when reading a paper book.

are you able to read outside and also in the dark or is there no light behind the screen and does it hurt your eyes also where can you get books from? like waterstones and what not?
