Aachan James demonstrates the basics for the SomaVeda Thai Yoga Level Two Hand Reflexology Vinyasa. This is a beautiful little flow easily incorporated into any healing session. Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as other traditional spiritual and energetic based systems have long held the value of working or bringing energy, attention, consciousness, breath and pressure to the hands and feet. Thai Yoga Reflexology may also be considered a traditional form of acupressure and the techniques are very similar. Doing a general Yoga Therapy Reflexology treatment to the hand is is not only nurturing and relaxing. As all the reflex zones and points are treated there is a balancing of both Nadi and meridians, Marma and Lom, Chakra energies especially of the 4th Chakra and the microcosmic orbit, heart, lung, pericardium and large instestine meridians. It can be beneficial for a wide range of symptoms from stress to headaches, constipation to low back pain. And as I stated before at the least it is nurturing and relaxing.

As SomaVeda Thai Yoga is a spiritual and energetic therapy before and after we would do a hand reflexology session we would practice Puja to create the healing space and frame of mind to maximise the contact and experience we are sharing with the client.
