I agree 100%. Thermography is also a safer and more reliable method of detecting breast cancer (as well as other cancers). I always thought the mammography procedure alone seemed pretty barbaric and looked like a modern spin-off of a medieval torchure device. But then i began doing research on the damage it can do (in addition to the radiation, flattening sensitive breast tissue is not exactly healthy) and was appalled. It is very difficult though to discuss with other women. Often times...

It's also the strong squeezing during the mamo that messes everything up. I have someone in the family who had this problem.

@lemsip I've always wondered myself why all the invasive procedures that involves sex organs and such...thermography is a great device for cancer screening, yet it is not at all encourage by the mainstream medical community.

@TiffanyApan It's not just barbaric but humiliating and degrading. I've had normal chest x-rays to examine lungs when younger and there are much more "uncomfortable" than that. When they say it will be "uncomfortable" they mean excruciatingly painful. In Britain you don't even get a front opening gown to wear during the x-ray whereas those having chest x-rays now do. This is because it's designed to be as humiliating as possible.
