BIRTHDAY CHANT,
For Jocelyn on Her Thirty-Second Year
Horse and hattock, horse and go,
And pellatis, Ho! Ho! Ho!
Theres time for nothing, then were cold.
May Jocelyn never grow old!
Though yet today she adds a year (as she must)
Forced to note, none may escape the dust.
Why then repeat it, scream with lust,
Let it be known, we have cause thats just!
Horse and hattock, horse and go,
And pellatis, Ho! Ho! Ho!
Theres time for nothing, so soon were cold,
Lairds and ladies say it bold,
May Jocelyn never grow old!
Thanks again for your viewing and comment. I will do as much alternation as possible between short poems, and the long narrative type.
As always, I appreciate your comment and take them as great suggestions. Very truly yours, Stanley
