Insanely hard to find info on this battle online. The only Battle of Silarus River many people recognize is from 212 BC against Hannibal Barca.

To be fair, the Romans of this period- at full strength- were largely unbeatable. In Europe. Crassus and Pompey (the second army) were ultimately defeated by in-fighting. I would love to have a time machine and see these battles for real.
