A "hidden" great? My dad was a DJ in the 70's and a hard core lover of the blues. I grew up listening to Slim Harpo and a vast slew of the other Blues greats from the reams and reams of reel to reel tape that Dad recorded then. I have those tapes today and there is nothing better than threading the tape through the guides of dads reel to reel tape deck (still in pristine condition) and spending an afternoon listening to the best damned music ever recorded.

Yep, Made in the USA, exported to Europe, reworked and shipped back to the USA as something original and new........ Its great that web sites like this are around so a person can still experience the "real" roots of the bues, rock in roll, some country music for that matter. Oh, great picture, Captures the mood perfectly.

@qmac10 your so rite, it took the british greats ,mayall, clapton, beck, page ,simmons , and alvin lee ,i loved ten years after, to show us how great our homegrown blues artists truly were.

Thanks to bebopcapitol for posting this - and I like it - but I recommend that anyone who is interested should check out John Lee Hooker's original 'Boogie Chillen' and/or his 'Walkin' The Boogie' issued on Chess, also Junior Parker's big, influential hit on Sun Records 'Feelin' Good'.
You'll probably find all of these records on YouTube. Enjoy!
Best wishes
