I lost my cat in a car accident...he lost his hind leg and we thought we could save him by rushing him to the vet, that he would survive and live as a 3 legged cat. Instead he succumbed to internal injuries. We buried him today. It's just devastating because he won't be there to greet me whenever I come home from work and everywhere I look in the house there are memories of him. I love and miss him so much :'(

I'm so very sorry for your loss. You must have done soooo much right for Daisy to reach 16--but yes, it leaves such a whole in our hearts. Best wishes, amy

I just lost my cat, Pig, after almost 14 years. It's very very hard to cope with. All I keep thinking about is how much I miss her and want to hold her again. She was a great companion, and I miss her so much. I knew I'd have to deal with it someday, I just wasn't expecting it now. It's just so hard to say goodbye, and to know she's not here anymore.
