Forest Air™ system

Forest Air™ system: is the most advanced climate control system ever developed by Infiniti. The system includes:
■ Advanced auto-recirculation mode
Uses sensors behind the front grille (exterior) and near drivers knees (interior) to detect exhaust gases and certain offensive odors both inside and outside the cabin. The sensors detect gasoline and diesel exhaust as well as certain gases associated with common farm odors.
Outside air ventilation is then controlled to minimize undesirable gases and odors in the cabin.
The system does not detect every unpleasant odor only those that listed above AND that come into contact with one of the sensors behind the front grille and near drivers knees.

The system includes an information display passengers can view on the vehicle information display. It shows two clouds one inside and one outside of the car. When one of the sensors detects gas or diesel exhaust, or certain gases associated with common farm odors, the corresponding cloud will change from blue to brown. The sensor will turn blue again when the air is clear again.
■ Plasmacluster™ Air Purifier generator
Next-generation of system currently available in FX and EX produces more ions.
Ions attach to odors, bacteria, and viruses in the cabin to help destroy/remove them.
■ Grape polyphenol filter
Reduces allergens and removes dust from air in the cabin.
■ Humidity control
System helps prevent over-drying of cabin air by regulating dehumidification caused by air conditioning system.
Uses humidity sensor located in front of the rear view mirror.
■ Breeze mode
Gently modulates airflow between upper and mid-level vents, creating subtle variations in airflowlike a natural breeze.
