@cottageorgan I think you are over emphasizing the influence of Morrison. The Doors popularity only preceded the Stooges recordings by a couple years. There are a lot of other influences including blues, rockabilly like Ivan (Real Wild Child), Bo Diddley, R&B (Louie, Louie), Phil Spector, Link Wray and The Trashmen. I am talking about a lot of that music that came before the Beatles. They were more contemporaries of the Doors, rather than being influenced by them.

@johnnystaccata He was influenced by Jim Morrison. I wasn't comparing them as such, and you're right, Iggy is his own man, but when he was still a kid, Jim was abig influence on him. Read "Open up and Bleed", it's all there sir. Don't take it personally, it was just an observation. Johhny Staccato, my favourite T.V. series, John Cassavettes, pure jazz detective magic, and those opening titles...WOW. Oh, I just saw your name is 'Staccata'. Still, maybe yo're a Cassavettes fan anyway...A

@cottageorgan Iggy is his own man, don't be comparing him to Morrison. The only thing they had in common was their record label.
