Maiden flight of my Hobby King EPP FPV RC Plane ...... camera gear simulated with lead ballast 215g ......
throw it off the side of a 1200 foot hill (safely) fly around for ten minutes or so to get some confidence in the plane and bring her down safely .... that's the plan ..... this is the video .... I like this plane .....

  • is all inclusiv or not a motor ???

  • @hunter62793 ...... you need to source your own motor ....

  • What motor you got on there?

  • @SvenOkonomi ..... motor Turnigy 2217 16turn 1050kv 23A Outrunner (24A 270 watts - 10 x 4.7 SF prop - 40A Plush Esc

Our club field is surrounded by trees ..... I had my first flight down there today with this plane ..... take-off straight ahead over the trees ..... it made me think it might be nice to have an extra 100 watts .....

  • Congratulations on the successful flight/s.

How strong do you estimate the wind was? The model was was not bobbing up and down like my MPX Easyglider or EasyFly would be doing in the same windy condition. I'm guessing the HK model probably does not need a stabilization system to keep it steady/level.

Your flying spot looks great - you seem to be higher than the clouds!

  • @tsisapik .... I would estimate 8 knots max and 2 to 3 later on ..... I have now posted a second video with a camera onboard ..... it gives a much better idea of the FPV possibilities ...... have a look and see what you think ....

the plane does seem very stable ..... I'm looking forward to seeing how it flys in a bit more wind .....

  • @sord Hmm so I guess the Turnigy TR 35-30A 1700kv wont do the trick? Ive got this plane coming in and I planned on using this motor, but I guess I better shouldnt?

  • Great, ver godo reference for who wants to buy it!, thanks

  • @sord I looked at the other FPV video and it was spectacular. It does look very promising. Thank you for posting!

  • @asadasif ..... I have a onboard video that I hope to post soon ..... it shows the concept much better than viewing from the ground ..... it shows the benefits of slow controlled flying ...... I think this plane will be a real success for that type of work ......
