Nah you can go get him as soon as you arrive on the world map I think... he's optional anyway.

Um, sorry for being a pest, but didn't you silence it? You could've used the Mythril Dagger bought in Dali, learn Soul Blade, then use it to silence Gizamaluke.

I didn't know you could silence it at the time, this was my first playthrough of the game and I wasn't using guides either, thanks for the info though.
