The women here are beautiful! Such elegance and class. Watching this is like going back in time. It was shot 91 years ago but the color makes it feel like time never passed! Thank you for sharing this important part of history.

"Hey, we just designed this great new way record visual information for later viewing! What should we record with it?"

I waved, smiled and told the first lady what a lovely hat she had. She blew me a kiss, and I did the same back to her and said goodbye. It was a pretty weird experience, but it was like we were communicating across time...

You would think Kodak would've kept Kodachrome simply *because* it was the only film of its kind - especially as far as archivability. Too bad. Was the 100' K rolls you shot in a 35mm movie camera, actually *bulk rolls* of Kodachrome designed for stills (slides)? I'd also check the edge numbering on that 16mm print. I suppose a K-chrome print could've be done, but it definitely would've been unusual to use for that purpose. ;) Of course, you're right about digital. ;)

Actually my friend has a feature film printed on Kodachrome in 16mm. I've also shot 100' rolls of Kodachrome in a 35mm movie camera and the color is wonderful! I had the last roll of Super 8 Sound Film in the world processed by Wayne's Photo on the last day of processing. The film features our local elected saying hello to people a hundred years from that date. Digital will have long since corrupted but the film will still be around.
