Fly fishing the mouth of Deschutes River in late October proved to hold fresh fish eager to commit to a swung fly. The jet boat ride was as memorable of an experience as the steelhead themselves. The knowledge of the river, both in fishing and boating from guide Mike Duffy from Larimer Outfitters made for a very productive day. Tom Larimer and Travis Duddles from the Gorge Fly Shop teamed up some of the best steelhead guides in the northwest to create www.steelhead.bum.com which is the most informational steelhead site on the web.
