2012 National Medals for Museum and Library Service Ceremony

On November 14, 2012, IMLS Director Susan Hildreth presented the National Medal for Museum and Library Service to five libraries and five museums at a ceremony in the Indian Treaty Room of the White House. The guest of honor was Cecilia Munoz, Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. The National Medal is the highest honor conferred on museums and libraries for service to the community.
