The Fowler Museum at UCLA is partnering with the Department of World Arts and Cultures in conjunction with the current Fowler exhibition, Nick Cave: Meet Me at the Center of the Earth, which features thirty-five of the artists acclaimed Soundsuits, multi-layered, mixed-media sculptures named for the sounds made when the Suits are worn. Students are exploring issues of transformation, ritual, and identity by preparing various performances using a special set of wearable Soundsuits and appearing in Soundsuit Invasions around Los Angeles.
