20 weeks into this years garden, recall that i started inside in march. I have been harvesting for several weeks now and some things are just now starting to take off. Notice I put down mulch to hold in moisture, i did that about 2 1/2 months ago.

  • I've had some that were green for about 3 weeks or more. I noticed that they were in fact getting slightly larger day by day until finally they got some yellow specks toward the top and they faded to light orange and finally red. Don't worry, they WILL turn. I'm planning on having tomatoes right up til frost. How about trying one of my family's southern favorites? Pick a nice big green one, slice, roll in flour/salt/pepper, fry, enjoy!

  • We planted a ton of tomatoes this year - have dozens and dozens of green tomatoes but we're getting impatient for red ones. Any idea how long before these things turn red?!
