  • Did you ever see him after the finish?

  • @koko56 - Yeah, we headed back to his house in the West End, had a couple Lone Stars, and played some Wii golf. [not]

  • @MrDichotomies

Oooh- cool. Though it just occurred to me that I meant to ask did you ever see him after the START! :P

The results were pretty close though, how much do you guys train?

  • @koko56 -- Saw him again only at the finish. And tho' I'd like to say our times were close, I, being 50 and working for a living, raced the Citizen course, which is shorter than the A course he was racing on. And Lance does pretty good on the technical stuff, too. He beat one of the best MTBers in the state (Len Zanni) on a course that includes a gnarly, rocky singletrack downhill.

  • "are we drug testing him?" LOL!!

  • He rides all over Aspen. Just don't share doping needles with him!! :)

  • @manufanhawk5 — Aspen really isn't that close to CO Springs or Boulder, so i don't know about there. Lance does have a home in Aspen where he seems to be spending a lot of time, so I guess if you ride around enough you will eventually see him.

Local cycling club holds 20 races over the summer, 1/week. Plus regular races 2-3x/year locally, plus lots more on the Front Range. Google "colorado bicycle races"

  • @manufanhawk5 — Hah! I wish I was rich. I believe I rode that race on my 15-year-old KHS Montaña Pro FZ (recently replaced with a 2nd hand Klein Adept Pro). Wearing my 8-year-old Bell helmet.

  • @MrDichotomies Oh I see.

But yeah - I looked at the times and was like "woah" - at the 2nd guy and the top top few being so close together.

I did not realized what level this was - I though tit was kind of causal at first... well does not seem so now! :P
