Hi Hiro - I do have Palustris. It is also called Marsh Marigold. I do not grow it at my nursery, but I can get it from my supplier. Thanks!

I'm always afraid of parasites regarding growing veges etc on top of aquariums/ponds bec I've heard that that can breed terrible parasites. What do you think?

I've never had a problem with parasites in aquarium ponds, but mildew can grow if soil is used. Like any water garden, it's important to wash down the top of the plants to prevent any bugs. The wheatgrass I've been growing has been VERY healthy with no sign of trouble at all. HAPPY PONDING!!! GAiL

Awesome! Do the roots from the island grow down into the water? If the do you can put some bubblers under the island to get a deep water culture thing going on. I live in Pittsburgh and aspire to be a produce farmer, but have to get my starts on my home property LoL!!! I can't wait until warmer weather hits so I can expand my garden, I have about 4 tons of compost I made :oD. Ponds rule, the last one I made was for my Mom down in Florida last Spring. I had a $200 budget and it turned out great!

The roots will eventually grow down into the water. Until then, I will need to make sure to water my island!
