could someone explain to me how the renovator works? what does that tube from the tank do, and how is the dirty water and stuff picked up?(does it go through the fan)??

The tube carries the foam from the tank (it has a screen to make the foam like the Kirby sprayer) to the front of the unit. the dirty foam is then swept up into the tray in the front by the brush. The only thing the fan is used for is pressure for the tank and sprayer. The renovator doesn't really "deep clean" like steam cleaners do. it's sort of a "dry" foam that cleans the top of the carpet.

@Articunoboy12 Yeah the setup really hasn't changed on them.

You used it wrong....put the nozzle all the way down,,,go forward one time, then back, it should lay a layer or foam after oing back, do that all over the carpet. Then wait ten minutes. go over it again with no shampoo....Best shampooer ever....

ok. it still wasn't "foaming" much, though, so I may have not had enough of the suds in it, plus, I realized there's supposed to be a filter on the tank, which mine didn't have, so dirt ended up getting in the clean water and clogging the spray nozzle.
