How about saying this for the "hook" to better correlate the verses with a clear and precise theme to enlighten the "hook" for listeners:
Street life, where a wrong can be right, hood sight, how can everything be so nice, Street life, living for the day to see the night, hood sight, measuring out my steps to be right.
This type of hook makes the content of the verses "stand-out" more - to give the listeners some understanding of street life. (I'm a writer)

@lmorganjr Thanks for bumping my music! I think you missed the point of the song though, it's more so about the transformation from a casual person to an everyday killers and how rare occasions can cause this transformation. "Blue Moon's give werewolves, who would you tear through, to avenge the ones you're dear to" That means rare tragedies can lead to unthinkable acts and once that path has been traveled there's no turning back. Werewolf is metaphor for a murderer under unseen circumstance
