  • I favor limited terms and Merry Christmas along with limited service and less pay. Get a real job after your term is over with a limited retirement and be required to use the same health care and social security plan as I have to use.

  • I'm a new NC resident and really appreciated hearing from Senator Hagan. I had the pleasure of being in the audience when you visited Western NC in August. This is a beautiful state with many loving and helpful residents. May you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. Best wishes for 2012. From Candler, NC

  • @gpdsgt312 I'll contact you by personal message. If you look in the inbox of your YouTube channel page, we can communicate that way. YouTube doesn't allow email addresses to be posted.

    Peace

    Phil

  • @philfromearth I have tried twice to send you an e-mail address for further discussion but each time it showed "error" when I hit the post button. Best Regards, Ken

  • @philfromearth I appreciate your reply. As you state, "we agree on some things". You ARE correct in that "credit" is a major problem. I can recall when my Dad paid cash for everything. The OVERALL problem(s) are not to be simplified (as you say), but some are basic economics and the answers ARE very simple. I am a retired Police Officer with 30 years of service and I am 58 yrs old. I have NEVER seen the political climate and the division in America as bad as it is now.

  • @gpdsgt312 We agree on some things, we disagree on others but throughout this debate you have argued intelligently with class. I would enjoy continuing ,if you like. This venue is limiting, having to try to complete ideas only using 500 characters. Could we debate from time to time using personal messaging? I really enjoy a good debate.

  • @gpdsgt312 I didn't assume that you're intolerant but as I said many Christians are. I appreciate you warm Holiday wishes and I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas.

  • @gpdsgt312 The problem with the example of the checkbook is you're not taking into account, credit. The economy runs on credit. We agree on foreign aid. I believe this money is used to support corporate interests in these countries and benefits only a very small part of the population. The "peasants" hate us the "aristocracy" love us. Our tax dollars shouldn't support trans-national corporations. I agree about CEO income. I disagree with the President appointing Emelt.

  • @philfromearth Do you assume I am not tolerant? In the USA people can worship a fencepost if they like. Its your right to say Merry CHRISTmas, Happy Holidays,or whatever. I do not condemn you, I pray for you. Say what you want but facts are facts! It has been Merry CHRISTmas a lot longer than Happy holidays and for a wonderful reason; Jesus! May God reach out, touch you, and Bless You!

  • @gpdsgt312 Know my facts? I do. Unlike a lot of Christians, I'm tolerant of other faiths. I prefer Happy Holidays to be inclusive as this is a time of year is special to many different religions and beliefs. I used X to save letters. Days off, this time of year are due to the unions. Say Merry Christmas if you like, I'll say Happy Holidays.

  • @philfromearth I do not blame only Obama or Hagan. But here again you use the term over simplification. Facts are facts; Democrats have controlled Congress since 2006 until the last election. Obama had a "super majority". You complain about perks for big corporations and jobs sent overseas (in which I agree), but it appears that Obama having Jeff Emelt as his jobs Czar does not concern you. Jeff is the CEO of GE and has sent MANY jobs overseas and GE did not pay ANY Federal Taxes!
