  • I can't stand single coils... with the bastard humming and the ear-bleeding bridge? no thank-you. I bought two Area 67s and a Virtual Solo Bridge for my Strat and it sounds unbelievable. It plays everything from Wes Montgomery to Iron Maiden. Definitely a must over any single coil.

  • I have the tele version of this in my warmoth Tele and it's the best sounding single coil I've heard by FAR.. granted I haven't played in person the few others I would like to try.

  • quackiness?

  • they dont have that much presence in my opinion..

  • @ak47s762 hell yeah, especially with that overdrive..... Ive got it to

  • are these pickups hum cancelling?

  • @DionisisK0 have you tried Thomann??

  • @RojoYamamoto The Velvets (like the Fender CS 54s) are regular singlecoils. The Areas are noiseless singlecoils.

Go back to around 4:45 in this video and listen to the hum he gets with the Velvets in positions 1, 3, and 5 vs. how quiet positions 2 and 4 are. The Areas have no hum in any position.

  • Wow... A Strat bridge that doesn't hurt my ears!
