childhood part two

Video made in the second semester of freshman year (2007) for my General Fine arts foundation elective. The assignment for this project was "childhood" and this video is the second part in a two part project in which I look closely at the experiences and events that shaped me in my childhood. This second part is supposed to represent the positive experiences of my childhood and is a reaction to part one of the childhood project which focused on my negative or painful experiences from childhood. Both videos were shown as elements of a larger installation which was constructed in a studio space. The installation involved a "fort" much like the forts I once made as a child with my brother made of sheets and string. The videos were projected from inside the fort and were viewed by the audience from the outside.
