The Sims 2 Gameplay Video (How 2 Add Your Own Video in Your Game?)

Follow this steps and let your sims watch whatever you want like video clips or series

1- You need 2 download Virtual Dub. You can download it for free.
2- From File menu select Open Video File
3- Select video you want 2 add to your game
4- From Video menu, select Filters
5- Click Add button then select Resize option from the list
6- Change both New width and New Height amounts to 128
7- Click OK for each windows opened.
8- From File menu select Save As Avi
9- Save your video 2 following location:
C:\Users\Yourusername\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Broadcast\TvSBN
10- Open TV in game and change to Sim Broadcast Network Channel

How 2 Play Your Own Music in the game

1- Copy your mp3 files you want 2 play in the game
2- Paste those files to following location

C:\Users\Yourusername\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Music\[channel you want to play in]

PS: In the Music folder there are some alternative folders like techno salsa etc.
You can put songs whichever you want. But in the game you need 2 select that channel from the music player.

can you make an actual tutorial ?? you could download "snagit" and video tape your desktop and show how to get videos

you can get videos from youtube using firefox 3.5 and the video download helper add-on. with vdh you can get videos from the icon top of the firefox browser screen. save them as avi files. the watch the steps i wrote before to convert.

When I go:

C:\Users\Yourusername\Document­s\EA Games\The Sims 2\

The only 2 folders there are base and support. I found where the music is in base/TSdata/Res/Sound but all of them are package files which I cant save into. Any help?
