Meghan's pov:

Priest: may they rest in peace. Meghan you put the roses down now.

Meghan: no. I can't. I-I have to go. [Tears falling down her face]


This conversation has been playing in my mind for the last 6 months. See 6 months ago I lost my family to a fire. I was out with my friends for the night. I had argued with my mom for the car that night and had won. My mom, brothers, grandma and uncle were all at the house. Some idiots were doing a dare and well somehow the house got on fire. I don't remember that much of the night. It's a blur to me.

Since my mom was an only child and dad was never around, I became an orphan. I became a part of the states ward. I was put into a foster care in a matter of days. I remember the day I got adopted. Like everything else it was a blur. All I knew about the person was they were 24 and was in a band. I was moving in with someone who wasn't even old enough to be my dad great.

Joe's pov:

Hi I'm Joe and today I'm going to pick up this girl I just adopted. You may know me from the band Jonas brothers. Well let's just say my brothers don't know I adopted this girl. I'm 24 and living life to the fullest. I just got back from South America not even 72 hours ago. I had heard about the girl on the news and thought she needed a home. So I contacted the foster home and said I wanted to adopt. Everything was kept under wraps. The press or my family doesn't know about this.

So here I am on my way to get her. I flown to St. Louis last night and had gotten a hotel room for the both of us for tonight. I bought a house in New York for us to live there for a couple months. Just to get her away from St.Louis and time to heal. Well here it goes!

As Meghan sat there with just a small bag of clothes and her essential items she waited to meet her new parent. She was nervous that she wouldn't like them or they not like her. She wasn't exactly in the talking mood. She just lost her family. She wanted to be alone and wallow in self pity. But she was most afraid that the person who was adopting her was going to take her away from the city she had grown up. The friends she had made. The boyfriend that had said I love you to her last week. She didn't want to just pick up her life and start over. But she knew she had too. Staying her would only make it worse. She needed a getaway. Need just for a few weeks, live in a fairytale with this person.

But that's what they say, fairytales aren't real.

i know its been forever since ive posted. ive had alot going on in my life. ive got school plus work. im gunna start posting this new story and see how it goes. ill post my other two when i get the chance. comments are appreciated:) but i want feedback.
