Screaming Fox?

I've heard this sounds quite a few times at night when I'm walking the dog but it's never been this close before. It sounded like it was coming from the trees in the video. I'm thinking it's a red fox from other videos I've seen here. Whatever it is, it's a very creepy sound to hear coming from the woods.

Just had this racket in mine and neighbouring gardens at about 1 am, it went on for over 25 minutes.

Quite blood curdling to hear that in the dead of night when you don't know what it is.

I had no idea they screamed like that or were so loud but the mystery was revealed when I finally caught a glimpse of it as it dashing through my fence before it disappeared.

thats the mating call... first time I heard it was camping, I thought a child was being murdered outside the tent. .. til I peeked out the flap to see a fox running thru the campsite screaming...

Wow. I know we have foxes here but I've NEVER heard that before. Guess they aren't located here and that sound is crazy I'd hate to hear that at night.

Omg..this is exactly what i've been hearing near my house at night. I can hear it while I'm watching tv and it sounds like a young teen screaming and creeps me out. Now I am nervous about the kids in our neighborhood being out, if they eat meat there are so may rabbits around that prob what theyre after. We live on a culdesac and one tried to sneak up on my hubby while decorating for halloween, it was pretty close behind him. Then it took off.

I herd that to last night but it was in my garden when I got up this morning there were paw prints all over my grass and red Ginger ish fur about BUT STILL THE BLOODY THING WOKE ME UP
