You need an emulator. You can't do it on the cartridge without taking apart your controller, and removing a certain thing from the D-Pad. It prevents you from being able to walk backwards. As for going through walls, it's part of an Exploration Glitch.

@vxbinaca I totally forgot about this vid. Uh, I believe it's some rubber thing that's located under the D-Pad. I've never done it myself though.
