Good job. It makes maintenance much easier. I recommend another waterproof floorings to you. It's waterproofed and won't deform even heat it up to 60 degree. Please visit: eco-greenfloor

Not sure how you put second coat of finish on w/o buffing out the first. Should have used the cat to mop up excess dust before applying finish

The orbital is definitely the safer way to go. Lose concentration on a drum sander for just a second and it will gouge the floor. Drum sanders are older technology and go cheap on the used tool market now, but they are good for doing larger industrial floors in a hurry or ripping down a thick finish. You also have to change discs in the orbital more often then drums in a drum sander, but it is fast and easy to change discs in the orbital. Figure $6 to $10 every time you swap them out.

Haha, at like 1:13 it looks like you levitate away.

Sweet!!! I think I'll have a spare 6 minutes tomorrow to do mine.
I think I counted 5 days, two couts of stain, and two coats of low luster polyurethane.
What type of finish did you use and how were the results?

Good work.
Do you recommend a drum sander, or a large orbital, for doing large areas? What about corners, and under overhanging cabinets? What kind of sander did you use?

I prefer the random orbital. It has 4 separate disks that orbit randomly. For corners I used an edge sander and I had to do under the cabinets by hand :(
