Alcohol abuse and it's repercussions are not only problems in the Indian Community. Few know of the medical research on the effect of alcohol on various ethnic groups. It has shown that the longer fermented drinks were a part of the culture, the better the bodies ability to process alcohol. You can see that in Italy, and Greece but as you get farther away from there, the problems increase, it's genetic, it's the liver. Native Americans have only had a few hundred years and a gene is missing.

Does anyone know if someone wants to open up liquor store or bar you get a loan right away. Alcohol & drugs are filthy business it brings trillions. ,Massacres whole world has done to every race. But we human beings need to get on our feet because that is what our ancestors want us to do stay strong don't be a slave to your enemy. Uneducated & Alcoholic is slavery. Native Americans get education & get a government jobs stop them destroying your community. That is how you win. Money is power!

Native Americans you are not slave to Alcohol. Don't buy it don't drink it. You have a choice. Alcohol is now drowned the world even Muslim countries.We are forced to sell alcohol. Human beings are not slave to anything stop the bastards bringing alcohol & cigarette. As long you drink they will bring you more ,more to get you alcoholics. @7thunderstone Alcohol is devastating to pregnant women all over the world,but to native women it is devastating as they have virtual no means to get heath care,both in USA/CAN,heath care is some of the worst in the worst next to Africa.talk to any woman who has had a baby born that is craving a DRINK OF BOOZE
