  • @Bucks2WinABogut i thinks its jerkbait

  • what type of lure is that?

  • what is the best rod for a walk the dog lure? will the graphite series 6'3" extra heavy rod work well?

  • I use walking poppers because they walk but with alot of commotion. Also, I usually twitch it really fast to get them to react, and trust me...... they blow up on it.

  • Your tip about no swivel at the end of the video is very important here. You failed to mention, but the video showed -if the viewer payed attention- that you were using a heavy gauge solid wire leader, IT MUST BE LONGER THAN THE LURE but just longer, an inch or two to get the right action.

Most important in a walk the dog presentation from a boat is a SHORT rod, pointed straight down at the water, try it and see how your command of the lure improves. You should be working the tip at your toes.

  • in most of my muskies if they fallow i speed up and that useally goes better then slowing down for me when i slow down they just sumberge and loose interest

  • Or it works only in shallow waters?

  • Hi!

Can you catch pike with these lures in deep water (ower 3-4 meters)?
