  • Why would the Armed Forces want to keep a ship that is retired? Better to have it serve as an artificial reef than occupying space in a dock, don't you think?

  • you don't know what the fuck you are talking about... Not only will this wreck help stimulate the Key's economy, but provide a good habitat for almost every type of marine species found in the keys... this vintage ship has been in storage for over ten years, now i has a purpose... as your mama always told you, think before you speak.... douche

  • @dawson01912 Cause, you know, They cant get a ship like that cause of the budget

  • this could have mad a good museum

  • costs more to keep it. though they coulda used it for target practice lol

  • I think it's pretty disrespectful to sink a ship and make a party out of it. There really is no dignified way for a ship to go out. Down here in Key West, this stupid money grubbing town thinks it's going to get rich off dive tourism with this ship, the Vandenberg. With global warming, the whole Florida Keys are going to be the next to sink and I'm gonna laugh.

  • So, I'm guessing that news channels all over the nation are airing this "fake" story.

  • why the fuck would they want to sink one of the fue survivors of ww2 besides diving purposes? it is a vintage ship.

  • It's really great what they do for the sport diver population...

  • 'The Russian lettering on the bulkhead and pipes remain from the former U.S. Air Force missile-tracking vessel's role in the 1999 movie "Virus."'
