  • Would love to see this in a beta of UDK

  • @Tass1701 The difference was that the light was much softer and also the surroundings were affected by the light of the "rocket" automatically.

  • @iLikeTheUDK You can get multiple shadows cast by characters by checking dynamic channel in the dynamic light properties & disabling "Cast Composite shadows" line there (and don't forget to check the "Cast dynamic shadows" option)

  • Noce improvement. The motion blur improvement is nice.

I'd still like to see several shadows cast by characters, though.

  • @freaqie correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think cryengine implements this. the only engines to utilize this is just frostbite and ue3

  • @staticman0 indeed... it would make the udk much more interesting really fast.

cryengine and frostbite2 are now superior almost soly becouse of this, it allows for more creative freedom as well as removing the long lighting rebuild times...

  • @umgolem50k

Also note how surrounding objects are affected by the color of the surface off which the light reflects.

  • Couldn't see much of a difference between with/without enlighten ....

  • @Westonci Battlefield 3 will use it.
