  • I don't think this engine lasted very long. The car was seen competeing soon after with a REW single turbo engine.

  • @jiven666 yes they have low compression when first started and needs to be warmed up before you rev them up like this dumb ass did...

  • The engine sounds dead, flat like its got no compression.

  • The engine builder has said it's a triple rotor renesis, not a peripheral port. It was used in an FD3S RX7 in the British Drift Championship in 2008. It's a very nice machine.

  • 3 runner doesn't always mean its a peripheral port engine... don't you see the manifold adapter bolted to the front side housing? and other side housings. Looks like a cast aluminum piece.

If it is a peripheral ported setup, then the runner will come straight out of the rotor housings.

  • @787Bisurdaddy then why when i look at it it looks like it slits into 2? also can u notice theres no massive overlap like pp rotarys have?

  • Uh, no. First of all, this is clearly an FD RX-7 (notice the flip-up headlights). Secondly, I'm staring at the paused video and all I see is three peripheral ports. The runner does not split into two. You can even see how the first and second runners are further apart than the second and third runners.

  • oh yeah pause the video at 2 seconds and look REAL close, you see that, its a single runner splitting into TWO!!!! so there are six that you can see :)

  • go on rx8club and look this up, there is a thread on the whole build. it is multi-side port sanwich plates and they are factory ports. the upper and low intake manifolds are custom because the regular cosmo 20b will not bolt up to the new housings and plates
