MG ZR - My First Car

Break down of Insurance:

Year 1 (Aged 17) Third Party = £2400
Year 2 (Ages 18) Third Party (1 YNCB) = £1400
Year 3 (Aged 19) Third Party (2 YNCB) =£970

All years under my OWN name, not parents. Each year I stuck with the same company and all the prices are renewals. However this year while looking on a comparison websites, the cheapest for my third year was £2570 so I believe that company loyalty does play a factor.

im 15 and 16 in a month how much would it be to insure the mg zr 160 because ill have £3000 to buy the car but my dad is paying for insurance and i need help to see how much it would be

@danielharris97 Unless your planning on getting the car when you're 21, I would forget about the ZR 160 mate. As a 1.8, there are very few insurers that will give you a quote and those that do would range from £9000+. My advice would be to stick to the 1.4 (105)

insurance companies are greedy bastads, im 22 and pay £1500 insurance on a 1.6 golf mk4. Last year it was much lower even though I was a year younger!

ive just ben reading all the comments on here and i was just wondering how are people getting quotes for under 2500 becuase ive been getting them for £4500 .... please tell me who you are with

Any ideas how I can get my 1.4 ZR insured for when I'm 17 for under £3000. I've been getting £5,600 on my dads insurance -.-.
