Yup really, that is what the article said.
But hey we wont find out till the ends of this year or spring 2012 if they will release it.
I mean the article came out quite a few years ago so there could have been complications since then.

@SamiWheeler Really??? that's crazy i was watching video claiming they had just found out how to make them big and it wasn't going to be released to the public for another 10 to 15 years

Actually according to a 2009 or 08 Popular science(or mechanics) article a phone with a 3 inch hologram was supposed to be released by 2011 or early 2012.
As in hologram coming from the phone out of a projecter similar to the phone camera.
