  • Hello all. This is the first comment I have made on this channel. I haven't been watching this for over a year so a big thanks to all those who have commented with either good thoughts or constructive criticism. The fact I am using a "plastic tube" is true, but it's my right to help others start playing :) Maybe some day I will make a vid with my eucalyptus didg. Anyway, I can't satisfy everyone, but if you got some help from these vids, that's all that counts. All the best, Raghu

  • Real ones are expensive, cheap homemade ones have three advantages over real ones.

    1. Cheaper (duh?)

    2. Home made (Sense of like "Woah I made this myself.)

    3. Almost the same sound for the low price.

Granted real ones are much nicer and all but these work good too.

  • People that want to learn can start NOW. Not wait until they order one and it is shipped. They can go to Home Depot or Lowes and for about $7 make one just like this guy has. So I'm not sure what is "pointless" about it?

  • Thanks! I didn't know how to buzz. Cheers man

  • I fail at this.

  • @SocktheWolf i bought a professional one which was key D and it was only 15 punds... thanks to my local culture shop, ahh the beauty of living in a british village great stuff for cheap prices

  • @DelMonteOnSteroids That may be a nice point! The sound is different... you can see them as different instruments... but the technique remains the same... and even if they are not eucaliptus or bubinga or some nice wood... the pvc, cardboard and any other material 'didges' are cheap, satisfying and, let's say... have a nice sound ;)

    Keep on didgin'!

  • @SocktheWolf I Absolutely agree!!!

I just made mine out of a cardboard tube, some masking tape and nitrocellulose... it sounds really sweet!

  • @DelMonteOnSteroids I know, I did say almost. They are very similar.

  • @SocktheWolf Your third point isn't correct... It's not the same sound.
