Ever hear a song for the first time and you automatically LOVE it but you don't know who does it or any words. Well, I heard "When I go away" and it nearly took my head off. Thank GOD for computers, and I found out it was Levon, bought Electric Dirt and have not taken it out of my stereo in 3 months. One song after another becoming a favourite. I put "When I Go Away" up there with Like a Rolling Stone or any seminal rock song. It is truly brilliant

Round two for Levon! His reinvented voice sounds like he's lived a lifetime with it, and the production quaility of the Dirt Farmer/Electric Dirt CD's is SO GOOD. His book's a good read too.

In the opinion of this humble Limey, I do believe that Levon is up there with Dr Ralph Stanley in being one of the true voices of Americana. God bless him.......I just love the man, and everything that he's ever done. ( and fuck you robbie robertson for fucking up the Band ! )

I kinda like Larry's gutiar solo more than Garth's organ. And it's really a tribute to Garth.

Chest Fever, that song is out of this world

The coolest singing drummer? That puts him at "cooler than Phil Collins" or "cooler than Ringo" - that's not saying much! :-) Seriously, I love all of them, but Levon is probably the best singer out of the lot of them, and it is amazing to think that he had throat cancer just a few years ago!
Levon's having a blast jes kickin' Robbie's ass!
