About the film
Machete Language is a courageous feature debut from Kyzze Terrazas, known for his collaboration with Gael Garcia Bernal for Deficit (!f 2008). Ramona, an underground punk star from Mexico City and Ray, a noble anarchist, are just trying to get by. An innocent pursuit of satisfaction, a blistering rebelliousness, an unhatched offspring or lovers about to die are all subjects of this coalescence. At the very beginning, they appear on screen strapped with dynamite. The essence of their romanticism is their anger with injustice and their fanaticism to survive is triggered by punk and activism. For the unification of humanity, it is necessary that all borders should be removed, stereotypes must be broken into pieces and all institutions should be denied. This is a film of poetic terrorism, moving between eulogia and anathema.
